Handles information requests, maintains filing and performs clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, answering phones, monitoring email, and receiving visitors. | ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- As assigned, answer telephone and check voicemail, email and faxes; route messages to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain and monitor electronic training calendars, schedules and appointments.
- Act as point of contact when team members are absent from the office, including relaying messages via phone and e-mail.
- Prepare outgoing packages including FEDEX items; receive and distribute incoming packages.
- Develop and/or revise various forms, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
- As directed, update and maintain employee database.
- Assist with training exercise recruitment and in- and out-processing procedures.
- Create, maintain and submit call lists, security rosters, morning reports, pay rosters and other reports as required.
- Document pay distributions; research pay issues.
- Create and maintain mission and other files as required.
- Cross train with other clerical personnel to provide coverage as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience Education High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Associates Degree (or higher) in business or related field preferred. Experience Three years business/office experience with increasing responsibilities.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Able to read, speak and communicate well in English.
- Ability to perform multiple assigned tasks with minimal supervision and have the ability to prioritize and perform assigned tasks independently.
- Ability to communicate well with others.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to operate general office equipment such as printers, photo copiers, fax machine, scanners.
- Security clearance a plus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be punctuated with the sounds of heavy machinery/equipment.
